Sarah lost her mother yesterday. And I lost a friend.
My loss in no way compares to Sarah’s. I can’t even imagine the loss of a parent. I had a very scary close encounter a few years ago and I remember, very vividly, how much that rocked my world. So, I can only semi-relate.
Linda was a very special person. She was neat, different, loud and opinionated. (All of the qualities I admire in a woman!) She loved her children without fault and enjoyed her grandchildren and being a “Nana”. While I didn’t know Linda very well, she left a huge impression on me. We shared a love of all things Sarah (hehehehehe) as well as a love of books, Idaho and the foothills. And let’s not forget, Mikki, the ever amazing (kind of dumb but totally lovable) dog. I enjoyed talking to her, listening to her thoughts on things and getting to know her.
This photo was taken from Linda's back porch.
She will be greatly missed, by many. I believe she touched a lot of lives. I'm honored to have known her.
I do know that she leaves behind a very strong, smart, loving daughter. A job was given to me in December to take care of Sarah after Linda's passing. Well, Linda, I will do my best. It is big shoes to fill. But, I promise to be her friend as long as she lets me. :)
Where ever you are Linda, we love you and we miss you already. Say hi to my grand parents for me!
