I get home (still feels weird to call my apartment: home) and crap, I have no taco seasoning and no shredded cheese. *le sigh* Lucky for me, I live minutes from a Dollar General, Family Dollar and Walgreens. I stopped in Dollar General and was able to pick up taco seasoning (2 for $1, hooorah!), peas (for Sarah's tuna casserole later this week), ranch dressing (on the cheap and it's Kraft!) and shredded cheese. I only spent like $5. Dollar General is my new best friend.
I came home, made burritos (while listening to Sara Bareilles on my little iHome thingy. Have I ever mentioned that I love her?) Then I planted myself on my glider and ate burritos while watching Hoarders on A&E. (Note to self: Probably should not watch a tv show about disgusting houses while eating food.) I cleaned up dinner after that (stuffing leftover refried beans in a tupperware thing and tossing the rest of the taco meat in the freezer for next time.) Then, I went to Renee's (it's handy that she's right downstairs) and chatted with her for a little bit. She gave me some Kraft magazines that have simple, easy recipes in them to borrow and look through.
Then, I made the dreaded Time Warner call. I was on hold for what seemed like DAYS only to have some foreign lady talk to me about my internet connection like I just crawled out of the cave yesterday. "Is your computer turned on Ms. Kopp?" Um, no, you ho, I can't connect because I'm so dumb, I can't even turn my laptop on. Grrrrr!!!! (I texted Sarah during this time to vent and Nick did inform us that it is a requirement to talk to all customers like they are dumb, when calling with computer issues. LOL) Then, I had to call back to speak to a different department about my phone and cable. (SOOO STUPID!) As of this morning, everything appears to be in true working order.
I cleaned up my dishes, wiped down my counters, programmed my coffee pot, talked to Joanie & Tina who called to check up on me, packed my lunch for today, washed my face and went to bed. I did watch an episode of Golden Girls and read my book for awhile before turning the lights off to sleep.
So exciting huh? Tonight is dad night. Tomorrow Joanie invited me out for dinner (and offered to let me do my wash at her house for FREE.) Tomorrow, after work, I have to meet Brad to get my dvd's. UGH. I am NOT looking forward to that, at all. I hope we can just exchange stuff, wish eachother well and move on. I'm not looking to have any more emotional episodes with him. I just want him to go to the land of "never again" and maybe I can pretend that I didn't have "love like" feelings for him.
Oh well. It is what it is.
Anyways -
Still need:
Broom
DVD player
Dust pan
