To Kindle or not to Kindle? That is the question.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Kindle. They are on sale right now and I have a little bit of extra money. The people that I know that own them, RAVE about them. It seems like a good investment, right? I mean, for $114 dollars (on Amazon), I could get something that seems to be all the rage right now.

But you know, I think I’d miss the physicallness (is that a word?) of having a book in my hand and physically flipping the pages. Granted, hard backs can be a bit of a pain, when I’m laying in bed trying to read it but for the most part, I really like holding a book in my hand.

It would eliminate having to go to a bookstore and purchase the next book in a series or whatever, or having to wait until I can get to the bookstore to actually GET the next book (or whatever) because I could download it right away. From what I’ve seen, book prices seem to be about the same. I could download anywhere that has Wi-Fi. It’s supposed to be easier to read, designed to be light weight and easier to handle then a bulky book. PLUS, it comes with a sound of flipping pages.

So, why am I all “meh” about it? I think for right now, I’ll stick with my paperbacks from Half Priced Books.
