My vacation.

So, I’m back from vacation! YAY ME! Not. I’m ready to go back. I’ve not even been home 24 hours and I feel the stress creeping up on me already. Nice, huh?

Here is what I did on my vacation:

We spent a lot of quiet time at Sarah’s - crafting, party planning, and some shopping and just general relaxing. I had a nice time. It was quiet and while we didn’t do a whole lot, it was really nice to just relax and not have to worry about anything. This past month has been really stressful for me with my dad being sick and some other things going on, so honestly, it was nice to go to a drama/stress free zone.

We went and saw Burlesque at the theatre, which we both really enjoyed. I absolutely loved it. It was cheesy and pretty predictable but It was fun and pretty mindless. We both laughed out loud at the same moments (in a SILENT theatre…awkward…). It was a lot of fun!

I also got started on my scrapbook. Sarah gave me some crafting items for Christmas (as well as a really cool owl pillow, owl calendar which she MADE for me, a tea mug, peanut butter m&m’s (does she know me or what?), socks, and……I feel like I’m forgetting something…..) I got REALLY cool stuff from her for my birthday and Christmas. I shall take inventory tonight and update again.

Ben’s first birthday went off without a hitch. He’s the most adorable little boy! I had a great time watching him open his presents (with mom’s help) and enjoy is homemade cake. Sarah’s family all came for the par-tay and he made out like a bandit in the gift department. I can’t believe he is 1 already! It seems like I was just there, throwing her a baby shower and we were counting the days to his arrival. I felt pretty honored to be there. It’s a warm, fuzzy feeling to be considered family.

I’m glad to be home but it’s bittersweet. I wish I could stay in Idaho with Sarah and her fam. I tried to get her dad to hire me while I was out there. We see how well that worked out. =) I just wish we lived closer to each other and that time between visits wasn’t so long. We haven’t started planning my next trip yet but I’m sure we will soon.

This week is Christmas! Holy Crap! I still need to get stocking stuffers and get everything wrapped. YIKES!!! I’ll get it all done, I always do.
