Metamora and other jazz....

I guess I should post about Metamora and all the exciting events that happened over this past weekend. I haven't felt much like blogging since I've been sick.

Friday morning came bright and early at 4AM. 4AM BLOWS by the way. B-L-O-W-S. Anywho, I showered and dressed and was getting ready to blow dry my hair when my phone rang. Tina was calling to make sure I was awake. We talked for a bit and she said she was going to put the last of our stuff in the van. Somehow, she had set the alarm on my moms van the night before (how, I have no idea, my mom lost her keyless entry about a year ago so as far as I knew, you could not activate the alarm) and when she pulled open the passenger side door, the alarm started going off. And it continued....and continued....and continued for almost 2 HOURS. David finally took the horn relay out of the car but you could tell from the lights, the alarm continued to go off.

We pulled out the car manual, shut the doors, relocked, unlocked, tried to start the car...we tried EVERYTHING. Finally, around 6:30, I made Tina call Day's Auto (where my mom takes her car to get worked on) and he told us how to deactivate the alarm. All we had to do was relock the car and unlock it from the passenger side door. THAT'S ALL IT TOOK.

So, off we went. We stopped in Brookville and picked up our room keys (we stay at a bed & breakfast in downtown Brookville) and then headed into Metamora. We were about 2 hours behind but we were set up fairly quickly and ready to go by 9:30. And yes, the other Scentsy chick (the same one from last year) was there. NICE.

Friday night, after we headed back to the Brookville Inn, we took turns using the shower (hot showers....it was chilly) and after my shower, I realized I had hives all over my ankles. I took some Benadryl (thank God I carry some in my purse) and then we headed to the Dairy Cottage (our favorite place to eat that is across the street from the B&B.) Saturday morning, it was overcast and colder then Friday. We were back out and ready to go by 8:30. It poured the rain almost ALL day Saturday. We did amazingly well though despite the cold and the rain. Saturday night, hives on my ankles and up my legs this time. My mom had brought out more Benadryl when she came to visit us Saturday and thank goodness for that. I took more Benadryl - Tina went across the street for our usual dinner and I went to bed. 50mg of Benadryl knocks me out. Sunday, it was cold but it didn't rain. We were packed up and back at home by 7.

Overall, we sold around $2700.00 which I think is FANTASTIC. We paid up for next year, same spot and we booked the B&B for next year as well.

Unfortunately, we both came home, sick as dogs. I ended up calling in on Monday and Tuesday, with a fever over 101. I have brochitis and Tina has Pneumonia. I came back to work on Wednesday. I still have this horrible cough (and headache from coughing) and I'm so tired but I mostly feel better. Tina, not so much. I talked to her briefly last night and she still sounds pretty awful.

Last night, I made cookies! I took dad out for his usual dad night (but on Thursday instead of Tuesday due to the illness factor). I picked up some goodies while shopping for him for my Halloween par-tay, a prize box for Sarah and another thing I've been working up. Sarah sent me a few crafy links and I found one about booing your neighbors. So, I picked up a few goodies last night to do just that. I made pumpkin shaped cookies for my "boo" bags and of course, for Sarah. I am so freaking excited about doing this kind of stuff.

I'm always uber jealous of Sarah and her craftiness (uh, because, hello, she's very talented (shut up, yes you are)) so she's inspiring me to do stuff. I made pre-cut cookies but hey, it counts, right?!?!?! I was going to make cupcakes (yes, I can do it!!!) but I don't have any oil. *sigh* I'm still slowly building up my inventory. I'll pick some up this weekend. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to mail cupcakes to Sarah but I'll figure it out.

Being sick for 2 days and doing nothing but laying in bed, praying for a healing really put a wrench into my week. My apartment is somewhat of a disaster area, my laundry is becoming a small mountain, I need to clean...I had to watch Grey's last night from last week BEFORE I could watch last nights episode. I've missed 2 episodes of Private Practice (Thank God for DVR and catching up on the weekends.) I also need to take some more pictures of some decorating I've done and hang my Halloween decorations...it's not too early is it?

I'm meeting with a girl named Gina tomorrow...she's signing up on my team for Scentsy. HOORAY! I have a 10AM therapy appointment and then I'm meeting Gina on the West side at noon. Then, I'm going to do who knows what....maybe clean, maybe do laundry, maybe see Cindy & the boys, maybe vegging out....maybe...whatever. We'll see.

I think that covers everything....at least everything I can think of....

Off to eat breakfast!

Oh...start my new job officially next Thursday. B&K here I come!
