I continued on my “green” journey last night and this morning. I have been reading about why bottled water is so bad. I found this article that gave 5 really good reasons to kick the bottled water habit. Last night, I purchased a water bottle (much like the one pictured below) at Kroger’s, for $1.80. No more bottled water (unless absolutely necessary or it cannot be avoided) for me.

And while I was working on packing up my books and other junk last night, I did not once touch the thermostat which was set at 72 degrees. Normally, once home, I kick it to 68 and I’m comfortable. (No judgment, it’s from years of living with a post-menopausal woman dang it!) I didn’t change it last night or this morning. I kept it at 72. I’m so proud of myself.
And then this morning, I took a 5 minute shower. Or close to it. Quick in/out and I saved some water. I hated it. I love my morning showers. It gives me time to wake up and think about the day ahead. But, nonetheless, I got in, washed my hair and conditioned, washed my face and body and got out. Yay me.
Baby steps.
